The Old Ghost represents the best zinfandel that Klinker Brick produces each year. Brambleberry fruit aromas intermingled with anise and exotic spice, echo previous vintages. Smaller berries harvested from this vineyard block, tend to offer more “skin to flesh”, providing a greater level of tannin and structure to this wine. Pair with your prime porterhouse or grilled lamb.

A particularly strong vintage. I try to keep a vintage from each year as best I can and the 2012 is a favorite. Because I like to BBQ, even the best wines will have a hard time pairing because of the smoke flavor on the meat but the 2012 matches every time. With strong fruit flavors and a robust spice, the wine fills your mouth without being overpowering. With a richness that does not hide subtle notes of tobacco and delicious berry aromas, this vintage has paired well with smoked duck, prime rib, and pork shoulder. Also just a wonderful pairing on a cheese and meat night. Truly a strong vintage of this wonderful wine

This is one of my absolute favorite wines! This 2012 vintage has really come into its own over the last year as it has sat in the bottle. It is my favorite to pair with my favorite Filet or Porterhouse. The Old Ghost changes just slightly from year to year making it exciting for the next vintage but even better is what happens to it after it sits for a few years. It gets even better! This is a Great deal.
