Tasting Notes
This semi-sweet white wine blend is comprised of three varieties commonly found in the old country: Gewurztraminer, Rieslaner, & Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc). The aromas are delicate and include honeysuckle and citrus blossom. Flavors of ripe apple, lychee fruit and honey greet the palate with a delightful balance of light acidity.
Vineyard Notes
In the late 1800’s, the family at the very foundation of Klinker Brick migrated from south-west Germany, through the Dakotas and eventually settled in San Joaquin, CA. As farmers by trade in the old country, they began cultivating the local crops including watermelon and table grapes. Vorgänger is the german translation for predecessor. This wine is a dedication to our roots!
