"Muscular, full-bodied; this is what zinfandel strives for."

2004 Old Ghost, Old Vine Zinfadel
"89 An excellent Zinfandel from Lodi, this 2004 possesses plenty of briery, peppery, earthy fruit along with notions of plums and soy. Medium-bodied, rich, and pure, it should be consumed over the next 3-4 years. "
-Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

2004 Old Ghost, Old Vine Zinfadel
"90 Generous, very keenly defined berry-like fruit gives great direction to the rich, sweetly oaked aromas of this tantalizing Zinfandel, and, even if it is biased to the ripeness of its provenance on the palate with flavors that are a bit less fruit than billed, we have no argument with the wine´s volume and depth. A streak of firming tannins provides a nice bit of grip and ensures several years of growth. One Puff, "

"...it wins endorsement for its generous berry and plum fruit and for its well-managed ripeness. GOOD VALUE One Puff, "

Klinker Brick Old Ghost, Lodi
"Phenomenal. About as good a bottle of zin that you'll ever drink. It's got all the intensity of the old-vine zin, but it has a lot of complexity, depth, good aromatics. That's what wine should be."
-Roger Riggs, Buyer at the Wine Bank in Downtown San Diego.

Klinker Brick Zinfandel Lodi Old Ghost Old Vine 2003 $35 - 89 Points, Wine Spectator
Lots of character in this hearty, rustic style. Deeply concentrated, with intensity and generous texture to a distinctive medley of pomegranate, cola, toasty rye and wild cherry flavors. Finishes with mouthcoating tannins that have a supple quality. Drink now through 2009. 1,500 cases made.

KLINKER BRICK LODI ZIN '05 - I had a glass of this tonight at a restaurant. Dark purple/red in color. On the nose, I picked up a lot of dark fruit and zinny spice. In the mouth, this was fairly "cool weather like' compact, yet full-bodied with a terrific finish. Not as port like as the '04. For a Lodi designation, I didn't pick up a lot of heat, rather it's verry balanced and tasty. For a retail of about $15, this is a definite QPR that I'll add to my QPR rotation. 91pts

"Best of Class" - One of the “top Zinfandels” from Lodi.
- San Francisco Chronicle, 1/05

Klinker Brick Winery 2001 Old Vine Lodi - 88 Points, The Wine Advocate
A strong effort from Lodi, this dense ruby/purple-colored Zinfandel reveals a briery, crushed berry-scented nose with notions of incense and earth in the background. Full-bodied and powerful, with sweet tannin and well-integrated acidity, this lusty, heady effort will provide immense pleasure over the next 1-2 years.
- Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate 10/31/03

Klinker Brick Winery 2001 Old Vine Zinfadel (Lodi) - 89 Points, Wine Enthusiast
A full-bodied wine, with dark, plush plum, black cherry, tobacco, vanilla, chocolate, spice and anise flavors. Tannins are big, ripe and supple, while the finish is moderate in length. A fine effort from old vines and a relatively new winery.
- Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Buying Guide, 11/03

Klinker Brick Zinfandel Lodi Old Vine 2001 - 88 Points, Wine Spectator
A dense, muscular expression of Zinfandel. Gobs of blackberry and wild berry fruit, vanilla, spice and a hint of pepper are persistent. Drink now through 2005. 1,648 cases made.
- J.L. The Wine Spectator, 5/31/03
